What day does the tour start and end?
This is a “land-only” package. The tour start date is November 3rd, with our first activity in the evening around 6pm. For travel to Japan, this means that your U.S. Departure Date must be no later than November 2nd. The final full day of tour activity is Nov 10th; therefore, your return date must be no earlier than Nov 11th. -
What’s the cost of the tour and what’s included?
The cost of the tour is: $3,950 per person. This is the single occupancy rate. This price includes many of the costs associated with the tour. Notable included costs are most domestic travel within Japan and all hotel stays from Nov 3-10. All meals are included, with the exceptions of any snacks you want to purchase for yourself. Most importantly, airfare to and from Japan is not included in the tour. To see a list of expenses not included in the tour fee, please see our detailed note about excluded and included fees. Of course, if you have any questions, please contact us at any time. -

What kind of clothes should I bring?
We’ll be traveling in central japan in November, so we should expect cold temperatures. Bring warm clothes and shoes that are easy to remove. Most breweries are in rural locations, so dress clothes are not required. Think warmth and comfort, but we recommend dressing in layers as sake brewery tours can go from warm to cold in different parts of the brewery. -
What is the Japan Rail Pass?
Included in the cost of your tour, we will be providing you with a First Class Japan Rail Pass when we meet in Tokyo. This pass allows you to travel on almost all JR (Japan Rail) trains. When we travel as a group, we’ll enjoy the benefits of this quick and easy way to travel on the Shinkansen (Bullet Train) in the First Class “Green Car”.
